This three-day course is a mandatory requirement for personnel assigned basic safety-related duties on IGF ships.

The course covers

  • The physical and chemical properties of low-flashpoint fuels used on IGF ships.
  • Safe operation of vessels governed by the IGF Code.
  • Preventive measures to reduce risks associated with low-flashpoint fuels.
  • Health and safety procedures relevant to the working environment on IGF ships.
  • Environmental pollution caused by the release of IGF fuels.
  • Emergency situations on board IGF-compliant ships.
